What is a Smile Makeover?

A smile makeover is a cosmetic dentistry treatment that is often applied to multiple teeth to provide a beautiful and harmonious smile. It deals with every kind of issues affecting the appearance of your smile.

What is Digital Smile Design?

Digital Smile Design is a dental treatment planning technique that analyzes the patient’s facial and dental structure through digital photography, dynamic video, 3D scanning, and state-of-the-art software. You can choose the best option fitted to your personality and overall physical appearance.

Digital Smile Design Step by Step

Step #1: At the first appointment, our dentists examine the patient and take photos. These records are used to analyze the aesthetics of the patient’s face.
Step #2: After the records are imported into the software, a photo consultation is conducted to understand the patient’s wants and needs. Various forms and shapes from the digital library are placed over the images.
Step #3: Then the adjustment of the new smile is applied by using Digital Smile Design software. The patient is involved in the whole process and makes his/her remarks by viewing the digital smile design.
Step #4: When the final design is approved by both the dentist and the patient, a wax-up of the new smile is fabricated in a dental lab. And thanks to an acrylic mock-up, the patient has the chance to visualize, psychically test and approve the new smile, before the implementation begins.
Step #5: Once all modifications have been completed and the patient is satisfied with the new smile, the design is finalized. And upon the approval, the implementation process begins.

Please note that digital smile design procedure is different from digitally designing the teeth for the lab purposes. Most of the teeth are designed digitally by our in-house lab. However, if you specifically request the digital smile design and mock-up process (Step #4), we need 1 or 2 days in addition to the standard duration of the treatment chosen.
