Dental Veneer Treatment Step by Step
At our clinic in Turkey we use the digital CEREC-technology, which is approved all over the world. Thus we can achieve maximal aesthetics and work accurately.- Step #1: The first step involves consultation, diagnosis and treatment planning. Based on the desires of the patient and the examination of the dentist, the treatment plan is decided. The dentist decides if the dental veneers are the right choice for the patient.
- Step #2: At the beginning of the treatment, a small amount of the outer enamel surface is removed in order to permit placement of the veneer. The amount of the removed surface is equal to the thickness of the veneer to be placed.
- Step #3: When the tooth is prepared, a model or impression of the tooth is made. This model is sent to the dental laboratory and dental veneers are constructed based on the model.
- Step #4: Before bonding the dental veneer permanently, the dentist places it on the tooth temporarily to check if it fits and its color is OK. The color of the veneer can be adjusted with the shade of cement. The color of the surrounding teeth can be matched and thus the veneer looks completely natural.
- Step #5: Once the proper fit and color are achieved, the veneer is bonded to the tooth with a special cement.
